ALKA was established in 1976 for manufacturing and marketing Low and Medium Voltage equipment and materials and active in the
market since then.
Alka, in 1977 had started manufacturing Medium Voltage Circuit Breakers, up to 36kV Inc., under the licence of Merlin Gerin Spa.
and served to Public and Private Power Distribution companies.
ALKA had stop the Circuit Breakers production lately due to the penetration of the Vacuum and Gas types circuit breakers into the market.
In the same year, the company had started manufacturing low voltage Contacters under the technical cooperation with Ghisalba/Italy and
this operation had lasted until 1996. In the following years, ALKA had also started manufacturing Medium Voltage Protection panels,
DC Power Supplies for Power Distribution Companies.
ALKA, in 1995, had discovered the importance of the Electro-Magnetic disturbance which was the very important case among the electrical
and electronic device manufacturers and concentrate itself into this field. In Europe in 1996, EMC conditions were enforced then
all the manufacturers had started modifying their designs to meet the enforced EMC conditions. ALKA had started working closely
with American and European companies manufacturing products for EMI/RFI Filters and Shielding materials and generated great advance
in developing market for Ferrite and Powder Cores and Shielding materials.
ALKA has been working closely with the companies who are very active in high technology Products and research fields for their need
of Ferrite and Powder Core and Shielding Materials and also presenting technical seminars for the applications. ALKA is very proud of
working closely with the companies, Tubitak, Aselsan, Havelsan, Netas, Inform and Makelsan who are internationally well known in their
fields for their EMC products.
